EXPERTISE

Foreign Investment & Market Entry

A Qatar presence structured around the activity, the investment and the plan for growth.

The right entry structure starts with a precise understanding of the business. Adad advises international companies, investors and regional groups on establishing, acquiring and expanding a Qatar presence, from the initial route assessment to the arrangements needed to operate.

We assess mainland, Qatar Financial Centre and Qatar Free Zones options where relevant to the proposed activity. Ownership, licensing, governance, personnel and premises are considered against the commercial plan and the requirements of each framework. Eligibility for foreign ownership does not itself authorise a regulated activity.

The work can include incorporation, constitutional documents, shareholder arrangements, licensing-related submissions and operating contracts. For an acquisition or joint venture, the entry assessment is integrated with the due diligence and transaction documents.

We help sequence commitments around the steps still to be completed. A continuing Qatar advisory relationship can then support changes to the activity, new contracts, governance and subsequent investment.

THE DECISIONS THAT MATTER

01

The operating model

Define the activity, customers, personnel, premises and income flows before comparing establishment routes.

02

The investment structure

Assess ownership, control, licensing and partner arrangements against the business plan and investment horizon.

03

The first commitments

Sequence incorporation, approvals and operating contracts to avoid obligations the proposed business cannot yet perform.
